I was born and raised in Morris, Minnesota. I spent my younger years in town before my family moved out to the country, where I grew up on a small hobby farm.
Growing up in Morris, I spent a lot of time with my grandma and extended family on the Moser side, and some of my favorite memories growing up were the time I spent with them. I also spent a lot of time around Eul's Hardware Hank, my uncle Rob's apartment and at my grandma Eul's house with my extended family on the Eul side.
Growing up in Morris gave me a strong connection to the area and the people who call West Central Minnesota home. It's a connection I still value today.
A Background in Working With Homes
After high school, I attended Ridgewater College in Willmar to study as an Electrician. I spent about four years working in the electrical field before moving into carpentry.
For roughly six years, I worked primarily on home exteriors, along with some interior carpentry. That experience gave me a hands-on understanding of how different parts of a home work together.
I've now been with Preferred Roofing for more than five years, where I've had the opportunity to work with homeowners on roofing and other exterior projects. That experience has allowed me to continue building on what I've learned, and better help homeowners understand their options for their specific situation.
Why I Enjoy This Work
What I enjoy most is meeting homeowners, understanding what they're dealing with, and helping them find a solution.
When I look at a roof or gutter system, I'm drawing on years of experience working with homes and their exterior systems. My goal is to give homeowners a clear picture of what I'm seeing, what it means, and what options they have.
Sometimes that means identifying something that needs attention. Other times, it means giving someone peace of mind that there isn't a problem that needs to be addressed right now.
Either way, I think homeowners deserve to know what is actually going on with their home.
My Approach
If I see a concern, I'll explain what I found and what options are available. If I don't see a problem, I'll tell you that too.
My job is to give you the information and knowledge you need to make the decision that's right for your home.
